PARK
The weather here finally got good enough for us to head to the park. We took the kids on the swings on the play things, Lily of course went on the big kid toys with little acknowledgment of self preservation. We had a great time and ran into some people we knew. However, when it was time to leave and get Adrien home to nap Lily threw a tantrum. It was a big one! I had to restrain her all the way to the car to avoid being kicked in the face. When we got to the car miss thang was still steaming.
Well, when that door shut she was scolded and oh boy she knew she was in deep! You know in movies they reference "fearing for their life" I think Lily sorta got that feeling and that look in her eyes. We stopped the car in its spot at home and she abruptly looked at me and repeated, "sorry mommy, sorry mommy..." over and over. The two of us left together into the house first, she opened the door and ran to her room, jumped into bed and said sorry. She knew she was in big trouble and as punishment we make her go to bed--so she was already aware of her punishment; she stayed in bed the rest of the night.
This morning the kids woke up refreshed and hopefully we can have a more fun filled day than we did yesterday.
Nevertheless, we took some pictures of our couple hours at the playground, enjoy!

ONE SPECIAL DAY
Because today is both Mother's Day and JD's Birthday I thought it was fitting to express my feelings for my family.
My aunt and uncle have an extremely inherent ability to help others by all means that they can. They took me in "under their wings" and into their home. They are great to my husband and children and love us unconditionally.
My cousins Corina, James, Cathryn and Jeran are so good to our children and love them like aunts and uncles.
We miss their banter, their wit, their kindness. We miss card nights and pizza and even that runt Jedi. :) But we mostly miss their presence and warm faces.

They really aren't in costume...
Lily with her Jeran.
Jeran with Jedi (I think he is consoling her after she lost yet another battle with Gravity...the CAT).
And because there is a photo available, I had to include the precious, beloved, family....
PENGUIN!!
**P.S Corina hates that thing!! So naturally, the rest of us love it! **

A Baker's Dozen
Tonight Chelci and I decided to have Lilianni help us make chocolate chip cookies. She had a great time putting each ingredient in the bowl and stirring at the end. The dough tasted great ! Lily had added too much sugar-- quite blatantly actually; she put an extra 1/4 scoop in the mix. I guess we weren't quick enough.
Well, as it turns out, adding too much sugar makes the end product or baked cookies FLAT and the extra sugar with the butter left them crystallized. It was unfortunate and hilarious! The cookies were ruined...
**Look at that mischievous smile**
...but we had a great time, and on a positive note we didn't over indulge or stuff ourselves with cookies.
